Installing IPTV Smarters Pro
IPTV Smarters Pro is one of the most widely used IPTV players available, primarily because it works on almost every platform and is completely free. Here is how to install it on each device type.
On Amazon Firestick
IPTV Smarters Pro is available directly in the Amazon Appstore. Press the Search button on your Firestick remote, type IPTV Smarters Pro, and install it. No sideloading required — this is one of the app's biggest advantages over TiviMate. Also see our full Firestick IPTV guide for device setup tips.
On Android Phone or Tablet
Open the Google Play Store, search for IPTV Smarters Pro, and install it. It is free with no hidden charges.
On Android TV
Open the Play Store on your Android TV, search IPTV Smarters Pro, and install. Alternatively, you can sideload the APK using a file manager if the Play Store search does not surface it in your region.
On iPhone or iPad
Open the Apple App Store, search IPTV Smarters Pro, and download it. The iOS version is fully functional and supports all connection methods.
On Windows PC
Visit the official IPTV Smarters website and download the Windows desktop application. It offers the same interface as the mobile apps and supports all connection types.
Adding Your Subscription via M3U URL
VIP IPTV Club provides an M3U URL in your welcome email. This URL contains your entire channel list. Here is how to load it into IPTV Smarters Pro:
- Open IPTV Smarters Pro and tap Add User or Login with URL / M3U
- Enter a Profile Name — for example "VIP IPTV"
- Select M3U URL as the playlist type
- Paste your M3U URL in the URL field. Use copy-paste, not manual typing
- Optionally add your EPG URL if you have one (also in your welcome email)
- Tap Add User to confirm
The app will begin loading your channels. With 20,000+ channels this can take 30–90 seconds on a first load. Once loaded, your channels are cached and subsequent loads are much faster.
Adding via Xtream Codes API
Xtream Codes gives you access not just to live channels, but also to your full VOD movie library and TV series in separate sections — similar to how Netflix separates movies and shows.
- Tap Add User on the home screen
- Select Login with Xtream Codes API
- Enter your Full Name (any nickname is fine)
- Enter your Username exactly as shown in your welcome email
- Enter your Password exactly as provided
- Enter the URL (the server address, also called portal or host)
- Tap Add User
Xtream Codes loads three content libraries: Live TV, Movies, and Series. Navigate between them using the tabs at the top of the screen once connected.
Navigating the IPTV Smarters Interface
IPTV Smarters Pro organises content into a clear tabbed layout. Understanding each section helps you find what you want quickly.
- Live TV: Your live channel list, organised by category group. Tap a group to expand it, then tap a channel to start watching.
- Movies: Your VOD movie library. Browse by category, search by title, or sort by date added.
- Series: TV show library with episodes organised by season.
- Catch Up: Replay past broadcasts from the last 7 days (where available).
- EPG: Full electronic programme guide in timeline format.
While watching a channel, tap the screen once to show the overlay controls. Swipe left/right to change channels, or tap the channel list icon to browse without stopping playback.
Setting Up EPG in IPTV Smarters
EPG data can be configured in two ways: it either loads automatically with your Xtream Codes connection, or you can add a custom EPG URL for M3U connections.
For M3U users: go back to your profile settings, find the EPG URL field, and paste the EPG link from your welcome email. Tap save, then go to Settings → EPG and force an update. The programme guide will populate within a minute.
For Xtream Codes users: EPG typically loads automatically. If it is not showing, go to Settings and toggle the EPG refresh option.
iOS-Specific Setup Notes
The iOS version of IPTV Smarters Pro behaves slightly differently from Android due to Apple's platform restrictions:
- Background audio continues playing when you minimise the app, but video requires the app to be in the foreground
- Downloads for offline viewing are not supported on iOS due to App Store guidelines
- Picture-in-Picture mode works on iOS 14 and later — enable it in your device settings under General → Picture in Picture
- If the app disappears from the App Store in your region, search for IPTV Smarters (without "Pro") as an alternative
Troubleshooting IPTV Smarters Pro
Channels Loading Slowly
Large playlists can take time to load on first use. Subsequent loads use a local cache and are much faster. If loading consistently takes over 3 minutes, check your internet speed and ensure it meets the 10 Mbps minimum for HD streaming.
Video Playing but No Audio
Go to Settings and check the audio output setting. Some streams use AC3/Dolby audio which requires switching the audio renderer. Try the ExoPlayer alternative if the default player has audio issues.
App Crashing on Startup
Clear the app cache (Android: Settings → Apps → IPTV Smarters → Clear Cache), then restart. If that does not help, uninstall and reinstall the app.
For persistent issues, contact VIP IPTV Club support. Our team is available 24/7.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, IPTV Smarters Pro is completely free to download and use on all platforms. There are no subscription fees for the app itself — you only need a VIP IPTV Club subscription to access channels.
M3U is a playlist file that loads just your live channels. Xtream Codes is a full API connection that loads live TV, VOD movies, and series all in separate sections, with automatic EPG and a more organised content library.
IPTV Smarters Pro works on Android-based Smart TVs through the Play Store. For Samsung Tizen or LG WebOS TVs, a different app like SS IPTV or Smart IPTV is needed, or you can connect an external Firestick.
Tap the user icon in the top-right corner of the home screen and select 'Add User'. You can add as many accounts or playlists as you want and switch between them freely.
A black screen usually means the stream is temporarily offline or your device cannot decode the video codec used. Try switching to a different video player under Settings → Player. If the issue persists on many channels, contact support.
